Strategic Planning, Curriculum Development and Professional Development
I have been a Strategic Planner for Arts Education in the state of California for the past 20+ years working through the California Alliance for Arts Education/CREATE CA, the Los Angeles County Dept. of Arts and Culture: Arts Ed Collective, the California County Superintendents
and the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
I provide Strategic Planning for K-12 School Districts as well as County Offices throughout the state of California. I infuse all of my planning with a mindful approach- allowing both the heart and the mind to discover possibilities, innovate and implement creative solutions.
I offer curriculum development integrating the arts and Social Emotional Learning as well as professional learning series for educators.

Examples of Strategic Planning Collaboration
Sonoma County
Creative Sonoma, under the leadership of Kristen Madsen, Debbie Yarrow and Karen McGahey, led the planning effort in Sonoma County working collaboratively with the Sonoma County Office of Education and arts partners.
Conejo Valley Unified School District
Strategic Plan completed 2022 under the leadership of Brian Peter. In collaboration with TOArts at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, a new Ventura County-wide Professional Learning Series will be offered as a result of the Strategic Planning Process. Educators will be invited to participate in arts integrated strategies and lesson planning that support literacy, fluency and Social Emotional Learning. The series includes creative arts support for English Learners
Morgan Hill Unified School District
Under the leadership of Ramon Zavala and Heather Nursement of Morgan Hill and the Santa Clara County Office of Education, MHUSD completed their plan in 2019 and won SSAE funding through the competitive grant program from the State of California due to the strength of the plan.
Marin County
With a number of key funding partners, Marin County created a far-reaching plan creating equity and access for all students in the county.
San Mateo County
Under the leadership of Michell Holdt, the San Mateo County team brought together key partners in an ambitious and creative plan.
Mariposa County
Cara Goger led the effort to bring a broad perspective connecting the Arts Council and the County Office in Mariposa County for a unified vision.
Mono County
With the leadership of Superintendent Stacey Adler, and Shana Stapp of the Mono County Office of Education as well as Kristin Reese of the Mono Arts Council, the strategic plan has brought to life CESSAI- Create Eastern Sierra Summer Arts Institute for educators and the team continues to innovate with new arts education practices and partnerships.
San Benito County
Under the leadership of Superintendent Krystal Lomanto and Christian Woods, the San Benito plan brought new opportunities for students and educators and created the San Benito Arts Collaborative to implement the plan with focus and momentum.
Riverside County Office of Education
Under the leadership of Louisa Higgins, RCOE completed a strategic plan that is serving as a blueprint for the districts in the county to develop plans and collaborate for collective impact.
